2008 State Farm All-Star Game
Okay, if anyone watched all 15 innings of the All-Star Game yesterday and ended up pulling out an all-nighter, you know that, for the 12th year in a row, the American League won one of the best , 4-3. The N.L. took a 1-0 lead in the 5th inning off Matt Holliday’s first all-star game home run. The quickly doubled it in the sixth, but there’s still a lot more to come. This game was like a teeter-totter and now, it’s the A.L.’s turn. In the bottom of the seventh inning, J.D. Drew came in to play right field in his first ever All-Star at bat with Justin Morneau on base, and tied the game at 2-2 in one swing. The A.L.’s glory didn’t last as the N.L. took the lead off an error an Dioner Navarro and a sac fly. Hmm, Papelbon was pitching… Then, another run was scored in the bottom of the 8th, off the METS closer, Billy Wagner, who gave up 3 hits. Both teams were shut down in the ninth, and I’m getting bored so just go to espn or something. All you really need to know is tht the A.L. won again.
